Choosing your company at login

Published:
Updated:

MobilityManager is a multi-tenant platform, so when you sign in you choose which company (tenant) you are working in. This article explains how the company list works and what your choice affects.

Why you pick a company

Every user account can be linked to one or more companies. Each company keeps its own fleet, drivers, documents, and settings. Choosing a company at login tells MobilityManager which data set and which of your roles to load for this session.

Selecting your company

  1. Open the sign-in page.
  2. Select your company from the list of available companies.
  3. Continue with your email and password, or with single sign-on if it is offered for that company.
Note: Only companies with an active status appear in the list. If a company has been deactivated, it is hidden from selection and you cannot sign in to it.

How your company choice affects the session

  • Roles and permissions: Your session loads only the roles you hold in the selected company. If you are a FleetManager in one company and a Driver in another, your permissions match whichever company you signed in to.
  • Available sign-in methods: Each company decides whether single sign-on is offered. When you pick a company, MobilityManager shows the login options configured for it. Email and password sign-in is always available; a single sign-on button appears only when SSO is enabled for that company.
  • Data scope: You see the vehicles, drivers, and documents belonging to that company only.

Access rules

You can sign in to a company only if you have a role there. If you select a company where you have no role, sign-in is refused with "User does not have access to this tenant." The exception is the SystemAdmin role, which may access any company.

Tip: If you belong to more than one company, you do not have to sign out to move between them. After signing in, use the company switcher to change companies within the same session. See "Switching between companies without signing out."
