Search partners and contacts
This article shows you how to find business partners and their contacts in the CRM module, filter the partner list, and export the results. Browsing and searching require the crm:view permission.
Search the partners list
Open the CRM module and go to the Partners list. The list supports a text search that matches across three fields:
- Partner name
- Partner short name
- City
Type part of any of these to narrow the list — for example a city name to see every partner there, or part of a company name. Results are always sorted alphabetically by partner name.
Note: The search looks only at name, short name, and city. It does not search tax IDs, notes, contact names, or phone numbers, so search by the organization's name or location.
Filter by type and status
You can combine the text search with two filters:
| Filter | Effect |
|---|---|
| Partner type | Show only Suppliers or only Insurance partners |
| Active status | Show only active or only inactive partners |
The module also offers quick-filtered Suppliers and Insurances views that pre-apply the type filter, so you land straight on the group you want.
What the list shows
Each row summarizes a partner with its type, name, short name, city, country, a headline phone number, a headline email, and its active status. The headline phone is the partner's primary phone or mobile (falling back to the first available), and the headline email is the primary email — so keeping your primary communications flagged keeps this list accurate.
Find a contact
Contacts are searched through their partner. Once you open a partner's detail page, its contacts are listed with the primary contact first, then alphabetically by last name and first name. To find a person:
- Search or filter the Partners list to locate the organization.
- Open the partner's detail page.
- Scan the contact list — the primary contact sits at the top.
Find deactivated records
Deactivated partners are hidden from active-only views but are never removed. Set the active-status filter to inactive to list them, then open one to review or reactivate it.
Export the partner list
You can export the current partner list to CSV, which respects the same type, search, and active-status filters you have applied. The file includes each partner's ID, type, name, short name, city, country, primary phone, primary email, and active status.
Note: Exporting requires the crm:manage permission, not just view access. Use it to share a partner directory or feed contact data into another system.
Tip: To pull a clean list of, say, all active insurers, filter by type Insurance and active status, confirm the on-screen results, then export — the CSV matches exactly what you see.
