Find damage cases with the list and filters
This article shows you how to browse the damage-case (Schadenfall) list, apply filters, and page through results to find the case you need.
Opening the list
The case list lives in the Damage Management module. It shows one row per case, newest first (ordered by creation date). Viewing the list requires the damage-management:view permission, held by SystemAdmin and FleetManager by default.
What each row shows
Each case in the list surfaces its key identifiers so you can recognise it without opening it:
- Schadensnummer (damage number) and current status
- Fault type and the pre-existing-damage (Vorfindeschaden) flag
- Vehicle licence plate and driver name
- Insurer name (if one is assigned)
- Damage date, notification date, and creation date
Available filters
You can narrow the list with any combination of the following filters. They are applied together, so adding more filters returns fewer, more specific results.
| Filter | Effect |
|---|---|
| Status | Show only cases in a given status: open, in_repair, or closed. |
| Fault type | Show only cases with a given fault classification (Eigenverschulden or Fremdverschulden). |
| Vehicle | Show only cases for one vehicle. |
| Driver | Show only cases assigned to one driver. |
| Insurer | Show only cases assigned to one insurance company. |
| Date from / date to | Show cases whose damage date or notification date falls in the range. |
Note: The date range matches a case if either its damage date or its notification date is inside the range. A case with neither date set falls back to its creation date. The "date to" boundary includes the whole final day.
Paging
Results are paged. You can choose a page and a page size; the page size can be up to 100 cases per page. Each response also tells you the total number of matching cases, so you know how many pages to expect.
Tip: To build a work queue of cases still needing attention, filter by status open or in_repair. To review a single vehicle's damage history, filter by that vehicle.
From the list to a case
Select any row to open the full case in the detail view, where you can edit core data, set classification, manage financial line items, and move the case through the workflow (subject to your permissions).
