What the Fleet Cost Cockpit shows
The Fleet Cost Cockpit gives you a single, consolidated view of what your fleet actually costs. It rolls up every recorded cost source into a Total-Cost-of-Ownership (TCO) figure and lets you slice that total across five dimensions and any date range.
What the cockpit consolidates
Instead of opening the fuel, maintenance, damage, insurance, leasing, penalty-notice and Belege (receipt/expense document) modules one at a time, the cockpit collects committed costs from all of them and presents them together. For the period you choose it shows you three things:
- A grand total — the sum of all costs in the selected period and dimension.
- Category totals — how that total splits across fuel, maintenance, damage, fines, insurance, leasing and receipt categories, ordered from largest to smallest.
- Buckets — one row per item in the dimension you selected (for example one row per vehicle or one row per cost center), each with its own total and category split, sorted by cost descending.
The five dimensions
You choose how costs are grouped by picking a dimension. The cockpit supports:

Costs that cannot be tied to the chosen dimension — for example a fine that is not linked to a specific vehicle — are grouped into an (unassigned) bucket so nothing is silently dropped from the total.
Default period
When you open the cockpit without setting dates, it shows the current year to date: from 1 January of the current year up to now. You can narrow or widen this with the period filter at any time.
Note: The cockpit reads from live cost records. As soon as a refuelling, an approved Beleg, a paid insurance installment or a maintenance cost is recorded, it flows into the next cockpit view — there is no separate import step.
Who can see it
Access is gated by the fleetcost:view permission ("View fleet cost cockpit and TCO analytics"), enforced through [RequirePermission]. This is typically held by the FleetManager role. The module also has to be enabled in your licence; if the Fleet Cost Cockpit entitlement is not licensed, the screen is not reachable.
Tip: Start at the Fleet dimension to see the headline TCO and the biggest cost categories, then switch to Vehicle or Cost center to find where the money is going.
