What MobilityManager is and who it is for
This article explains what MobilityManager is, the problems it solves, and who typically uses it, so you can decide where you fit and what to read next.
What MobilityManager is
MobilityManager is a web-based fleet and mobility management platform for organizations that operate a Fuhrpark (vehicle fleet). It brings the day-to-day work of running vehicles, drivers, bookings, costs, and compliance into a single application that you open in your browser. There is nothing to install on your computer.
The platform is multi-tenant, which means one installation can serve several separate companies or organizational units. Each of these is called a tenant, and every tenant keeps its own isolated data. When you sign in, you always work inside one tenant at a time.
What you can do with it
The features you see depend on your role, your permissions, and which modules your organization has licensed. Commonly available areas include:
- Fleet and vehicles — maintain the Fahrzeugakte (vehicle file) for each vehicle, group vehicles into pools, and manage brands and models.
- Bookings — reserve vehicles, approve or reject requests, and view a shared booking calendar.
- Expenses — capture and review Belege (receipts/expense documents) through a structured review workflow.
- Compliance — run the Führerscheinkontrolle (driver's licence check), track Strafmandate (penalty notices), and manage damage cases.
- Operations add-ons — optional modules such as Versicherung (insurance), Wartungsplanung (maintenance planning), Tankmanagement (fuel management), and Lagerverwaltung (warehouse management).
Who it is for
MobilityManager recognizes three built-in roles, and your role determines what you can see and do:

Your organization can also create custom roles with a tailored set of permissions, so these three are a starting point rather than a hard limit.
Note: Access throughout the platform is controlled by permissions, not just role names. If a menu item or button is missing for you, it usually means your role does not include the required permission or your organization has not licensed that module.
How it is delivered
The interface is a modern single-page web application. You interact with it entirely through your browser, it is available in German and English, and it adapts to the regulatory framework your organization selects during setup (for example HU, §57a, or MFK vehicle-inspection regimes).
