A tour of the main navigation and sidebar
This article gives you a tour of the main navigation so you can find your way around MobilityManager: the sidebar, the top bar, and the tools that help you move quickly.
The left sidebar
The sidebar is your primary menu. It groups modules into collapsible sections such as Home, Fleet, CRM, Insurance (Versicherung), Bookings, Expenses (Belege), Strafmandate, License Compliance, Warehouse (Lagerverwaltung), Maintenance (Wartungsplanung), Tank Management, Reports & Analytics, and Administration.
Sections work like an accordion: select a section header to expand or collapse it. The sidebar only shows what you are allowed to use — items are filtered by your permissions, your role, and the modules your organization has licensed, so two users can see different menus.
Finding items quickly
- Search — type in the search box at the top of the sidebar to filter items by name across all sections.
- Favorites — star an item to pin it to a quick-access area at the top. There is a limit on how many favorites you can keep, so reserve them for the pages you use most.
- Recently visited — the sidebar remembers pages you opened recently for fast return trips.
- Collapse — collapse the sidebar to a slim icon-only rail to give the content area more room, and expand it again when you need labels.
Badges
Some items show a live count badge so you can spot work waiting for you without opening each page. Badges appear on:
- Pending Requests — booking requests awaiting manager assignment.
- Pending Approvals — bookings awaiting approval.
- Review Queue — Belege (receipts/expense documents) currently in review.
These counts refresh automatically while you work.
The top bar
Across the top of the workspace you will find:
- Tenant switcher — if you belong to more than one company/tenant, switch the active tenant here.
- Notification bell — opens your notifications.
- Theme toggle — switch between light and dark appearance.
- Profile menu — your avatar (shown as your initials) opens a menu where you can change the interface language and sign out.
Tip: On narrow screens (below about 1024 pixels wide) the sidebar collapses behind a menu button. Use that button to open and close navigation on tablets and phones.
How access shapes what you see
Because navigation is permission-driven, a missing menu item is normal rather than an error. If you need a module that is not listed, a SystemAdmin can either adjust your role and permissions or confirm whether the module is licensed for your organization.
