Who receives reminders and how to acknowledge or dismiss them
This article explains who receives inspection and maintenance reminders in MobilityManager and how recipients clear them. Reminders are routed by permission, not by job title, so the right people are notified based on what they are allowed to manage.
Who receives inspection reminders
The daily inspection reminder job sends an in-app notification for each vehicle due within the threshold to the tenant's fleet managers. In practice this means every user who holds the vehicle management permission for that tenant. The system evaluates each user's permissions and notifies only those allowed to manage vehicles.
- A FleetManager (or any user with the vehicle management permission) receives these notifications.
- A Driver, who does not manage vehicles, does not receive them.
- If several users qualify, each one receives the notification for the affected vehicle.
Note: If a tenant has no user with the vehicle management permission, there is no one to notify and the inspection reminders for that tenant are effectively silent. Make sure at least one active fleet manager holds that permission.
Who sees maintenance plan reminders
Maintenance plan reminders (generated at 30, 14, and 7 days before a plan's due date) are stored per tenant and surfaced in the Wartungsplanung (maintenance planning) module. Anyone with the maintenance:view permission can see them; acting on them requires maintenance:manage.
Viewing the fleet-wide picture
Beyond individual notifications, fleet managers can review everything due through the Inspections Due Soon widget and the maintenance dashboard. The Inspections Due Soon widget requires reporting access (the reports view-all permission), which FleetManager roles typically hold.
Acknowledge or dismiss a maintenance reminder
Maintenance plan reminders are worked from the reminders area of the Wartungsplanung module. With the maintenance:manage permission you can:
- Acknowledge — mark the reminder as seen and being handled.
- Dismiss — clear the reminder when no action is needed.
Filter the reminder list by status or vehicle to find what still needs attention.

Tip: Because notifications follow permissions, the fastest way to change who gets inspection alerts is to adjust which users hold the vehicle management permission — through their role or a custom role — rather than configuring recipients per vehicle.
