MobilityManager sends different in-app notifications depending on what happens in your fleet and what you are responsible for. This article lists every notification type the platform can send, what triggers it, and who receives it, so you can recognize each one at a glance in your notification center.

Notification types at a glance

Each notification carries a type that determines its icon, color, and wording. The following table summarizes the types the platform produces.

Booking notifications

Most notifications relate to the booking lifecycle. Drivers are told when their bookings are confirmed, approved, rejected, or cancelled. Approvers are told when a booking is waiting for their decision. See the dedicated booking notifications article for how these fit together.

Vehicle overdue

If a vehicle is not returned by the scheduled end time of its booking, an overdue notification is sent both to the driver on the booking and to every fleet manager in the tenant. The message includes the vehicle name, its license plate (Kennzeichen), and the time it was due back.

Inspection due soon

Inspection reminders warn that a vehicle's statutory inspection is approaching. The label adapts to your tenant's regulatory framework: HU (Hauptuntersuchung, the German main inspection), §57a (the Austrian periodic inspection, often called the "Pickerl"), or MFK (Motorfahrzeugkontrolle, the Swiss inspection). These reminders are generated automatically and go to users who can manage vehicles.

Note: You only receive the types relevant to your role and permissions. A Driver typically sees booking-related notifications, while a FleetManager also receives overdue and inspection reminders.
