Using the in-app notification center

Updated:

MobilityManager keeps you up to date with in-app notifications about your bookings, approvals, and fleet events. Every signed-in user has a personal notification center, reachable from the bell icon in the top navigation bar. This article explains where notifications live, what they show, and how to open the item behind each one.

Where to find your notifications

The bell icon appears in the top navigation bar on every page. When you have unread notifications, a badge on the bell shows how many are waiting. The count refreshes automatically about every 30 seconds, so you do not need to reload the page to see new activity.

  1. Select the bell icon to open the notification dropdown.
  2. Review the most recent notifications listed newest first.
  3. Select View all notifications to open the full Notifications page.

The dropdown versus the full page

The bell dropdown gives you a quick preview of your recent notifications. The full Notifications page shows a larger, scrollable history (up to the 50 most recent items) and adds filter controls so you can focus on unread or read items. Both views present the same notifications for your account.

What each notification shows

  • A category icon and color that indicate the notification type (for example, a green check for a confirmed booking or a red warning for an overdue vehicle).
  • A title and message describing what happened, including details such as the vehicle, dates, or a reason.
  • A relative timestamp, such as "Just now," "5m ago," "3h ago," or "2d ago." Older items show the full date.
  • A visual highlight while the notification is still unread.

Opening the item behind a notification

Most notifications link directly to the record they describe. Selecting a notification marks it as read and takes you straight to the relevant place in the app:

  • Booking notifications open the related booking.
  • Booking request notifications open your booking requests list.
  • Inspection reminders open the affected vehicle.
Tip: If a notification does not have a specific record to open, it simply takes you to the full Notifications page so you can review it alongside your other items.

Who sees which notifications

Notifications are personal and tenant-specific. You only ever see notifications addressed to your own account within the tenant you are currently working in. If you have not selected a tenant yet, the notification center appears empty until a tenant context is available. Some notification types are only sent to users who hold a particular permission — for example, inspection reminders go to users who can manage vehicles, and booking approval requests go to users who can approve bookings.

Note: The notification center is available to every authenticated role, including Driver, FleetManager, and SystemAdmin. What differs between roles is which notifications you receive, not your ability to open the center.
