Dashboard overview and KPI widgets

This article introduces the Strafmandate (penalty-notice) dashboard: the headline KPI widget, the full set of widgets available, and how filtering and the widget layout work. The dashboard requires the strafmandate:view permission.
Two ways to load the dashboard
The dashboard offers a quick overview and a fully widgeted view:
- Overview — top-line KPIs (open mandates, total fines, average resolution time) plus an action list of up to ten notices that need attention, each tagged with an urgency of high, medium, or low. When nothing needs attention you see an "all caught up" message.
- Widget dashboard — a customizable layout that requests only the widgets your layout shows. Widgets load independently, so if one fails the rest of the page still renders.
The KPI overview widget
The mandate-kpi-overview widget is the hero strip at the top of the dashboard. It reports:

| Open mandates | Notices not in a terminal state (anything other than resolved or cancelled). |
| Total fine amount | Sum of fine amounts across the notices in scope. |
| Average resolution hours | Average time from creation to the resolved status transition, rounded to one decimal. |
| Overdue count | Open notices whose captured respond-by or escalate-by deadline is already past. |
| Unassigned count | Open notices with no active driver assignment. |
| Resolved this month | Distinct notices that transitioned to resolved since the start of the current month. |
The full widget set
The widget dashboard can render any of these twelve widgets:
- mandate-kpi-overview — the KPIs above.
- violations-by-type — notices grouped by violation type with share percentages.
- monthly-trend — new, resolved, and fine totals per month over 12 months.
- status-distribution — notice counts grouped by status.
- cost-by-department — fine totals and counts per department (Unassigned where no allocation).
- deadline-timeline — up to 20 upcoming deadlines, soonest first, with days remaining.
- top-offending-vehicles — top 10 vehicles by notice count, with licence plate and totals.
- driver-risk-summary — top 10 drivers by their latest risk snapshot.
- recent-activity — the last 15 status transitions.
- country-distribution — counts and fine totals by issuing country.
- resolution-rate — monthly resolution rate and average resolution hours.
- alerts-panel — overdue, unassigned, and escalated buckets with a short preview list each.
Filtering the dashboard
The widget dashboard accepts an optional filter: date-from, date-to, status, driver, vehicle, and country. Each widget applies whichever fields make sense for its data. Most date filters narrow on the notice creation date.
Note: The response includes a query-performance figure (in milliseconds) and, if any widget failed, a single error message for the first failure. The remaining widgets still return their data, so a partial page is expected rather than a blank one.
Tip: Request only the widgets your layout displays. On first load, sending an empty widget list runs the full set; once you have customized your layout, requesting a subset keeps the dashboard fast.
