Violations-by-type and monthly-trend widgets
This article explains two Strafmandate (penalty-notice) dashboard widgets in detail: violations-by-type, which breaks down notices by offence, and monthly-trend, which tracks volume and fines over a rolling year. Both are part of the widget dashboard and require the strafmandate:view permission.
Violations-by-type widget
This widget groups your notices by their violation type (Verstoßart) so you can see which offences dominate. For each violation type it returns:
- Violation type — the violation-type key of the notice.
- Count — how many notices carry that type.
- Percentage — that type's share of the total, rounded to one decimal.
Rows are ordered by count, highest first, so the most common violations sit at the top. The percentages are calculated against the total number of notices in scope, so they add up to roughly 100%.
Note: This widget honors the dashboard's date-from and date-to filters, narrowing on the notice creation date. Apply a date range to compare, for example, this quarter's violation mix against last quarter's.
Monthly-trend widget
This widget plots a fixed 12-month window — the current month and the previous eleven — so the chart axis stays stable from load to load. For each month it returns:

| New mandates | Notices created in that month. |
| Resolved mandates | Notices that transitioned to resolved in that month. |
| Total fine amount | Sum of fine amounts for notices created in that month. |
Note: The 12-month window is always the same length so the chart does not jump around. Date-from and date-to filters only affect what is counted inside that window — they do not change how many months are shown.
Reading the two together
Use the widgets side by side to move from "what" to "when":
- Start with violations-by-type to see which offences drive your volume and cost.
- Switch to monthly-trend to see whether those notices are rising or falling, and whether your resolution pace is keeping up with new intake.
- Watch the gap between new and resolved counts each month — a widening gap signals a growing backlog.
Tip: The monthly-trend fine total is based on the month a notice was created, not when it was paid. To analyze cost by cost center or department instead, use management analytics or the cost-by-department widget.
Requesting these widgets
Both widgets are returned by the widget dashboard when you include their keys — violations-by-type and monthly-trend — in the requested widgets, or when you request the full set. Each loads independently, so one failing does not blank the other.
