Switching your active company
This article shows you how to move between the companies (tenants) you have access to without signing out, and what changes when you switch. It applies to any user who can reach more than one company.
When the company switcher appears
If you have access to two or more active companies, MobilityManager shows a company switcher. If you can reach only one company, there is no switcher — you simply work in that company. The switcher lists each company you can reach by its name and code, along with your roles there.
Switching companies
- Open the company switcher.
- Select the company you want to work in.
- The platform issues you a fresh session for that company and reloads your view into it.
You do not need to sign in again. Switching exchanges your session for a new one that carries the target company's context and your roles in that company.
What changes when you switch
- Data — you now see only the selected company's vehicles, bookings, Belege (receipts/expense documents), and other records. Each company's data lives in its own database and never mixes.
- Roles and permissions — your abilities update to match the role you hold in the newly selected company. You may be a FleetManager in one company and a Driver in another.
- Settings — the language, currency, regulatory framework, and booking rules of the selected company take effect.
Note: Because switching replaces your session, any unsaved work in the previous company should be saved before you switch.
When a switch is refused
A switch does not succeed in these cases:
- You do not have a role in the target company and you are not a SystemAdmin — access is denied.
- The target company has been deactivated — the platform reports that the company has been deactivated and advises you to contact your administrator.
A SystemAdmin can switch into any active company, even one they are not directly assigned to, and carries the SystemAdmin role into it.
Choosing a company at sign-in
You can also select a company when you first sign in. The login screen offers the active companies by code, and after you authenticate you start in the company you selected. Use the switcher afterward to move between the others you can reach.
Tip: If a company you expect is missing from the switcher, confirm that you still have a role in it and that it has not been deactivated.
