Supported browsers
MobilityManager is a modern web application. For the best performance and security, use a current, evergreen browser that updates itself automatically. This article lists what is supported and how to keep your browser ready.
Supported browsers
The interface is built with a current version of the Angular framework and targets the latest releases of the major evergreen browsers. Use any of the following, kept up to date:
- Google Chrome (latest stable)
- Microsoft Edge (latest stable)
- Mozilla Firefox (latest stable)
- Apple Safari (latest stable, on macOS and iOS)
These browsers update themselves automatically. Staying on the current version ensures you receive the browser features and security fixes the application relies on.
Note: Internet Explorer is not supported. If your organization still uses it for legacy systems, open MobilityManager in Edge, Chrome, Firefox, or Safari instead.
Recommended settings
- JavaScript enabled: The application is a single-page app and will not run without JavaScript.
- Cookies and local storage allowed: Your sign-in session is kept in the browser, so blocking storage for the site will log you out or prevent login.
- Extensions that block requests: Ad blockers and strict privacy extensions can interfere with legitimate requests. If pages fail to load, allow the application's address in those extensions.
- Pop-ups for single sign-on: If your company uses SSO, allow the redirect to and from your identity provider so authentication can complete.
Mobile and tablet use
The application is responsive and works in the mobile versions of the supported browsers. On smaller screens, some data-dense tables and reports are easier to use in landscape orientation or on a larger device.
If the interface looks broken
- Update your browser to the latest version and reload.
- Perform a hard refresh (Ctrl+Shift+R, or Cmd+Shift+R on macOS) to clear cached application files after an update.
- Try a private or incognito window to rule out an extension or a corrupted cache.
- If problems continue, clear the site's cached data for MobilityManager and sign in again.
Tip: Keeping your operating system and browser current is the single most effective way to avoid rendering and performance problems.
