What MobilityManager does and who to contact for support

This general FAQ answers the most common orientation questions about MobilityManager: what the product is, how to get help, and what the trace IDs in error messages are for.

What is MobilityManager?

MobilityManager is a multi-tenant fleet and mobility management platform. It helps organizations manage their vehicles and drivers and run the day-to-day operations around them. Depending on your license, it can include modules such as:

  • Vehicle and driver administration, and vehicle bookings, including Shared Pools (car-sharing).
  • Schadenmanagement (Damage Management) and Strafmandate (traffic-fine handling).
  • Belege (Expenses) and a shared Document module for attachments.
  • Führerscheinkontrolle (driving-licence verification).
  • Lagerverwaltung (Warehouse), Wartungsplanung (Maintenance Planning), and Tankmanagement (Fuel Management).
  • Versicherung (Insurance Management) and the Fleet Cost Cockpit for consolidated cost analysis.

Because it is multi-tenant, one installation can serve several organizations (companies, or Mandanten) while keeping each organization's operational data separate.

Who signs in, and how?

You sign in against a specific company. Local sign-in uses your email and password; if your company has single sign-on enabled, you can use a provider button such as Login with Microsoft. Your access to features is determined by your role in that company, using role-based access control.

Who do I contact for support?

  1. Start with your own administrator. Many issues, such as password resets, role and permission changes, reactivating an account or company, and applying a license, are handled by a SystemAdmin in your organization.
  2. Escalate to MobilityManager support for problems that are not specific to your account, such as suspected outages, errors that affect many users, or questions about your license and modules.
  3. Include the essentials in any request: what you were doing, which company and module, the approximate time in your time zone, the exact error message, and any trace ID.

What is the trace ID in an error message?

Many error responses include a trace ID, a unique identifier attached to that single request. It is included in the response so that a specific failure can be matched to the corresponding server logs.

Tip: When you report a problem, copy the trace ID exactly as shown. It lets support jump straight to your request instead of searching by time and description, which usually resolves issues faster.

Note: A trace ID identifies a request for diagnostics. It is not an error code you need to interpret and it does not contain your personal data; simply pass it along with your report.
