Managing tyre sets
Track a vehicle's summer and winter tyre sets — their dimensions, brand, storage location, and whether they are currently mounted — on the Reifen (tyres) tab of the Fahrzeugakte (vehicle file).
How tyre sets are organised
A vehicle can have several tyre sets on file, typically one summer and one winter set, plus older sets you keep for reference. The list is ordered so that the mounted set appears first, followed by the remaining sets from newest to oldest purchase date. This makes it easy to see at a glance which tyres are on the vehicle right now.
Reading tyre sets requires the vehicles:view permission. Adding, editing, and deleting them requires vehicles:manage (FleetManager, SystemAdmin, or a custom role that grants it).
Fields on a tyre set

| Dimension | Tyre size, e.g. 205/55 R16. |
| Brand | Tyre manufacturer. |
| DOT code | The DOT code, which encodes the tyre's production week and year (its age). |
| Storage location | Where the set is stored when not mounted. |
| Cost | Purchase cost of the set. |
| Pressure front / rear | Recommended tyre pressure in bar for the front and rear axles. |
| Tread depth | Remaining tread depth in millimetres. |
| Mounted | Whether this set is currently fitted to the vehicle. |
| Purchase date | When the set was bought. |
| Notes | Free text for anything else worth recording. |
Adding a tyre set
- Open the vehicle and go to the Reifen tab of the Fahrzeugakte.
- Add a new set and choose the season.
- Enter the dimension, brand, and DOT code, and the storage location if the set is not mounted.
- Record tread depth, pressures, cost, and purchase date as available.
- Mark the set as mounted if it is the one currently on the vehicle, then save.
Seasonal changeover
When you swap tyres for the season, edit the set going onto the vehicle and mark it as mounted, and edit the set coming off to clear its mounted flag and set its storage location. Update the tread depth at the same time so the record reflects real wear.
Tip: Record the DOT code and tread depth for every set. Together they let you judge when tyres are ageing out or wearing thin, which is exactly the information you need at each seasonal changeover.
Note: Deleting a tyre set removes it permanently from the vehicle. Keep retired sets on file if you want a full history of what the vehicle has run.
