Finding parts with the inventory list and search
The inventory list is where you browse, search, filter, and sort every part in your warehouse. This article explains each filter, what the stock status column means, and how to export the list. Viewing the list requires the warehouse:view permission.
Open the inventory list
From the Lagerverwaltung module, open the items list. By default it shows only active items, 25 per page, sorted alphabetically by name. Use the page controls to move through larger catalogs; the page size can go up to 100 items.
Search
The search box matches your text against three fields at once:
- Part number (Teilenummer)
- Name
- Description
Matching is case-insensitive and looks for your text anywhere in those fields, so a partial part number or a keyword from the description will find the item.
Filter
| Filter | What it does |
|---|---|
| Category | Restricts the list to one category. The available categories come from your active items, so the list stays relevant. |
| Stock status | Shows only items in a chosen stock state: BelowMinimum, InRange, or AboveMaximum. |
| Active / inactive | By default only active items appear. You can include deactivated items when you need to review history. |
Understanding stock status
Each item shows a calculated stock status based on its current quantity against its thresholds:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| BelowMinimum | Current quantity is below the minimum stock level — the item needs replenishing. |
| InRange | Current quantity sits between the minimum and maximum levels. |
| AboveMaximum | Current quantity is above the maximum level — the item is overstocked. |
Tip: Filter by BelowMinimum to get a focused reorder list, then open each item to record a goods receipt once the parts arrive.
Sort the results
You can sort ascending or descending by any of these columns:
- Name (default)
- Part number
- Category
- Current quantity
- Unit cost
- Created date
Open a single item
Selecting an item shows its full detail, including current quantity, thresholds, storage location, and its stock movement history. From there, users with warehouse:manage can edit the item or record a movement.
Export the list
You can export the active items to a CSV file for offline analysis or sharing. The export includes the part number, name, description, category, unit of measure, storage location, unit cost, minimum and maximum stock, current quantity, stock status, active flag, and created date. Exporting also requires warehouse:view.
Note: The export reflects the currently active items rather than your on-screen filters, so it is a complete snapshot of the catalog.
