Maintaining Projects and Tasks
Overview
Two further catalogs within Allgemeine Stammdaten (/applications/generalMasterData/overview) support organizational assignment:
- Projekte (group Verwalten, Manage): named ventures or purposes to which vehicles, trips, or costs can be assigned.
- Aufgaben (group Organisieren, Organize): a catalog of recurring activity/task types.
Both tables follow the standard master-data operating pattern: "… hinzufügen" button (Add …), a side dialog on the right, an actions column with edit/delete, a duplicate check, search, and CSV/PDF export.
Projekte
The side dialog ("Projekt hinzufügen" / "Projekt bearbeiten" — Add / Edit project) contains:
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Name | Project name (required, unique) |
| Beschreibung (Description) | multi-line free text, e.g. project goal, duration, contact person |
The creation and modification timestamps are logged automatically. Use descriptive project names (e.g. "Baustelle A7 Nord 2026") so that the assignment stays unambiguous in lists and exports.
Aufgaben
The side dialog ("Aufgabe hinzufügen" / "Aufgabe bearbeiten" — Add / Edit task) contains:
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Beschreibung (Description) | Name of the task (required, unique) |
| Vermerk (Note) | multi-line free text for notes |
| Typ (Type) | optional numeric type identifier for your own classification |
Here too, the creation and modification timestamps are recorded automatically.
Frequently asked questions
Are "Aufgaben" the same as background tasks? No. The master-data catalog Aufgaben is a business lookup list for your tenant. The system's technical Hintergrundaufgaben (background tasks — imports, calculations) are managed by administrators in the dashboard from Article 15.
Can I delete completed projects? Yes, after a confirmation prompt. If records still reference the project, we recommend keeping the project instead and marking it as "abgeschlossen" (completed) in the description text — this keeps historical assignments traceable.
What is the "Typ" field on tasks for? A free number for grouping according to your own scheme (e.g. 1 = workshop, 2 = administration). The standard functions do not require the field.
