Maintaining Equipment and Equipment Packages
Overview
With the Ausrüstung (Equipment) catalog (group Fahrzeug, Vehicle, under /applications/generalMasterData/overview), you record equipment items such as a trailer hitch, a hi-vis vest set, a charging cable, or a tool case. Ausrüstungspakete (Equipment packages) bundle several equipment items into reusable sets (e.g. "Winterpaket", "Baustellen-Ausstattung") that can be assigned to vehicles as a whole.
Maintaining equipment
The side dialog ("Ausrüstung hinzufügen" / "Ausrüstung bearbeiten" — Add / Edit equipment) contains:

The table additionally shows Anz. Fahrzeuge (number of vehicles); expanding a row opens the list "Fahrzeuge mit dieser Ausrüstung" (Vehicles with this equipment).
Deletion protection: equipment that is still used in packages or on vehicles cannot be deleted — the notice "Löschen nicht möglich, da die Ausrüstung in Paketen oder Fahrzeugen verwendet wird." (Deletion not possible, as the equipment is used in packages or vehicles.) appears. First remove the usages or set the equipment to inactive.
Maintaining equipment packages
- Under Ausrüstungspakete, create a package with "Ausrüstungspaket hinzufügen" (Add equipment package) (only a Bezeichnung, Name).
- Select the package in the table — the "Paketinhalte" (Package contents) area appears below.
- Via "Ausrüstung zum Paket hinzufügen" (Add equipment to package), the selection list of all equipment opens (items already included are hidden). Tick the desired entries and confirm.
- Remove individual contents via the trash-can icon in the contents list ("Soll ‚…' aus dem Paket entfernt werden?" — Should ‚…' be removed from the package?).
Deleting a package: when a package is deleted, all assigned contents are removed as well — the confirmation prompt points this out. The equipment items themselves remain in the catalog.
Frequently asked questions
Below the package table it says "Bitte wählen Sie ein Paket aus" (Please select a package) — what should I do? The contents management only appears once you have clicked a package row in the upper table.
What is the "Aktiv" flag for? Use it to mark phased-out equipment without losing the history. Inactive entries remain visible in reports and on existing vehicles.
Can one piece of equipment be included in several packages? Yes. Within the same package, however, the system prevents duplicates.
