Disposition: Scheduling Vehicles on the Planning Board

Updated:

Module: Disposition (Dispatch board)

Audience: Fleet managers / dispatchers

Required permission: dispo.view (view), dispo.edit (create/change/delete appointments); Prerequisite: WebDispo licence

Overview

The Disposition (Dispatch board) (/applications/dispo/dashboard) is the back office's planning board: a timeline of all vehicles with their appointments and reservations. The available views are Tag (Day), Woche (Week), Arbeitswoche (Working Week), Monat (Month) and Agenda; public holidays are highlighted in colour. Without a WebDispo licence, the page shows a licence notice.

Setting up the board

  • Gruppierung (grouping): no grouping, Marke (make), Modell (model), Bauart (body type) or Pool - vehicles without an assignment appear in the "Ohne Zuordnung" (No assignment) group.
  • Interval (in Minuten) (interval in minutes): grid width of the time axis, from 30 to 720 minutes.
  • Anzahl Slots pro Interval (number of slots per interval): 1 to 6 subdivisions per grid cell.
  • Kennzeichen-Suche (licence-plate search): filters the vehicle rows live by licence plate.
  • Einstellungen (Settings): opens the filter dialog for hiding entire pools, makes, models or body types; the number behind the button shows how many elements are currently hidden (Article 104).

Grouping, interval, slots and filters are saved per user and restored on the next visit. If the working-hours display is enabled in the WebRes settings, the time axis is limited to the stored working hours.

Creating and editing appointments

With the dispo.edit permission you create appointments directly on the board (double-click a cell) or open existing ones. The dialog offers:

  • Vehicle selection with an info card: next HU/TÜV (roadworthiness inspection), current mileage, leasing utilization and dispatch utilization
  • Startzeit / Endzeit (start time / end time), Auftragsnummer (order number), Kostenstelle (cost centre), Betreff (subject), FS-Nr. (licence no.), Ort (location)
  • Fahrer auswählen (select driver) - including a "Neuer Fahrer" (New driver) button to create missing drivers on the spot
  • Start-KM / End-KM (start/end mileage) and Notiz (note)
  • For new appointments: a Serientermin (recurring-appointment) rule for repeating deployments

Appointments can also be moved or resized by drag and drop. Every appointment created or changed via Disposition is automatically set to the confirmed status - a separate WebRes confirmation is not needed.

Double-booking check for drivers

When saving, FMWeb checks whether the selected driver is already driving another vehicle in the same period. If so, the following appears: "Der Fahrer fährt bereits ein Fahrzeug und kann kein weiteres Fahrzeug führen." (The driver is already driving a vehicle and cannot operate another one.) This check can be switched off tenant-wide via the "Kann ein Fahrer mehrere Fahrzeuge bewegen?" (Can a driver move multiple vehicles?) option (Article 104).

Deleting appointments

Authorized users can delete existing appointments directly from the board; the deletion is confirmed with a success message.

Frequently asked questions

A vehicle is missing from the board. Check the licence-plate search, the hide filters in the Settings dialog, and whether the vehicle is assigned to you via the data views.

Why do I only see a licence notice? Disposition requires the WebDispo licence - independently of the driver portal's WebRes licence.

I can see appointments but can't change them. Editing requires dispo.edit; dispo.view only allows viewing (Article 18).
