General Settings: Location Filter and Travel Expenses
Overview
Under Systemadministration → Einstellungen (System Administration → Settings) (/applications/settings/webSystem) you maintain the general, installation-wide system settings of FMWeb. The page is deliberately lean – domain-specific settings (e-mail, WebRes, documents, fuel-card rules) have their own pages.
The settings in detail
"Zeige dem Benutzer nur Standort-bezogene Daten an?" (Show the user only location-specific data?) When this option is active, users see only data for their assigned locations in the overviews (e.g. vehicles) rather than the entire tenant. Use this if location managers should only see "their" vehicles. The per-user location assignment is done in the user administration (Article 18).
"Reisekosten anzeigen?" (Show travel expenses?) Shows the Reisekosten (Travel Expenses) menu item. It only appears if both conditions are met: this setting is active and the user holds the travel_expenses.view permission. If either condition is not met, the menu item is missing (see also Article 120).
Click Speichern (Save) to apply the changes; they take effect the next time the logged-in users' pages are built.
Note: The DM settings have moved
The document management settings are no longer on this page. A note ("Die DM-Einstellungen wurden auf eine eigene Seite verschoben." – The DM settings have been moved to their own page.) with the "DM-Einstellungen öffnen" (Open DM settings) button leads directly to the new page under Systemadministration → DM-Einstellungen (System Administration → DM Settings) (permission system.document_settings, license "Dokumentenverwaltung" / Document Management).

Frequently asked questions
Do these settings apply per tenant? No, they take effect for the entire installation. Tenant-specific settings are, for example, the e-mail settings.
I activated travel expenses, but a user still doesn't see the menu item. The user is missing the travel_expenses.view permission – check their roles (Article 18).
