This glossary explains the central technical and product terms used in FMWeb 10.4.0 and in the articles of this knowledge base - sorted alphabetically.
| Term | Definition |
|---|---|
| Antriebsart (Drive type) | Classification of the vehicle drive (e.g. "Fully electric", hybrid, combustion engine). If the entry is missing, the KFZ-Info calculation classifies the vehicle automatically based on its fuel and charging data; manually set values are never overwritten. |
| Beleg (Receipt) | An individual cost record of a vehicle (e.g. fuel receipt, workshop invoice) with amount, VAT, quantity, cost type and date - the basis of all cost analyses. |
| Berechtigung (Permission, RBAC) | Role-based access control: permission keys such as vehicles.edit or heimlade.admin are assigned to users via roles and determine who may see and edit which modules. |
| Disposition (Scheduling, Dispo) | Module for vehicle planning: on the planning board, vehicles are allocated to periods and drivers. |
| Drawer | A side-sliding editing dialog of the 10.4 interface that replaces the classic centred dialog windows. |
| Elektro-Beleg (Electricity receipt) | A receipt for a charging session with the unit of measure kWh instead of litres, booked under the cost type "Laden" (Charging). |
| Fahrersperre (Driver block) | A flag in the driver record: blocked drivers receive no reminder e-mails and no access to the driver portal. |
| Fallback-Mandant (Fallback client) | A catch-all client for the automatic fuel-card import: lines whose licence plate cannot be assigned to any client land there in the release queue for manual assignment. |
| Fleet-ID | An external provider for electronic driving-licence checks - and at the same time the field in the driver record (barcode/seal number) via which FleetSync assigns checks to the correct driver. |
| Freigabe-Warteschlange (Release queue) | The work backlog of the fuel-card import: records blocked by check rules wait here for a manual decision (release or reject, each with a reason). |
| Freigrenze (Exemption limit) | In the leasing contract, the "Abweichende KM" (Deviating km) field: the kilometre deviation from the contract value within which nothing is settled on return. |
| Gemeinkosten (Overhead costs) | Fleet costs with no relation to a single vehicle (e.g. parking-space rent), which are managed separately from the vehicle receipts. |
| Halterhaftung (Keeper liability) | The responsibility of the vehicle keeper to entrust vehicles only to persons with a valid driving licence - the reason why regular, documented driving-licence checks are mandatory in the fleet. |
| Heimlade-Abrechnung (Home-charging billing) | A monthly reimbursement billing per driver for company-car kWh charged at home under the BMF rule (status Draft → Released → Booked → Exported). |
| Heimlade-Sitzung (Home-charging session) | An individual charging session carried out at home that feeds into the home-charging billing - deliberately not a cost receipt, to avoid double counting. |
| HU (Hauptuntersuchung / Main inspection) | The recurring vehicle inspection prescribed by road-traffic law ("TÜV"); in Austria kept as the §57a-Begutachtung. |
| Import-Lauf (Import run) | A processing pass of the fuel-card import: each line of the uploaded file is checked, evaluated and either automatically booked or placed in the release queue. |
| KFZ-Info | A background task that calculates vehicle metrics (e.g. consumption) from the receipts and automatically classifies the drive type. |
| Konfidenz (Confidence) | A status light in the Leasing Return Cockpit that indicates how reliable a vehicle's kilometre forecast is. |
| Kostenart (Cost type) | The category of a receipt (e.g. refuelling, charging, repair) from the general master data - the basis for cost analyses. |
| Kostenstelle (Cost centre) | An organizational allocation unit (e.g. department) via which costs are distributed and analysed. |
| Lizenz (Licence) | The unlocking of a scope of functions of the installation (e.g. FleetSync, calendar, Enterprise analyses); without a suitable licence, modules remain hidden. |
| Mandant (Client) | A self-contained data area within an FMWeb installation (e.g. a company or fleet) with its own vehicles, drivers and settings. |
| Mehr-/Minderkilometer (Excess/shortfall kilometres) | The deviation of the actual mileage from the contractually agreed leasing kilometres; settled at the agreed rates on return. |
| Platzhalter (Placeholder) | A variable in e-mail templates (e.g. {{ license.days_until_due }}) that is replaced by the actual value on dispatch. |
| Protokolle (Logs) | The client's business journal: every automatic check and notification run (HU, UVV, driving licence, tyre change, leasing) leaves a traceable entry here. |
| Prüfregel (Check rule) | A rule of the fuel-card import that evaluates each transaction - with the severities Info, Warning or Blocking (blocked records land in the release queue). |
| Selbstfahrer (Self-driver) | An external driver who does not belong to your own staff; skipped for reminder e-mails. |
| SF-Klasse (No-claims class) | The no-claims class of the motor insurance; in FMWeb a client-wide table with percentages for third-party liability and comprehensive cover. |
| UVV / DGUV | Accident-prevention regulations of the statutory accident insurance (DGUV): a regular occupational-safety vehicle inspection by a competent person; in FMWeb kept separately as "UVV Fahrgestell" (UVV chassis) and "UVV Elektrik (DGUV70)" (UVV electrics (DGUV70)). |
| Vorlaufzeit (Lead time) | The number of days before a due date from which FMWeb generates reminder e-mails (e.g. 7-60 days for HU/UVV). |
| WebRes (Fahrerportal / Driver portal) | The portal for drivers: booking reservations, keeping the logbook and submitting feedback (mileage, refuelling/charging, damage, tyre change). |
