Leasing-Rückgabe-Cockpit: Keeping Excess and Under Mileage in View
Overview
The Leasing-Rückgabe-Cockpit (lease-return cockpit) (/applications/vertraege/rueckgabe) shows, for every active leased vehicle, the projected excess/under-mileage settlement in euros at contract end – without telematics hardware, purely from the odometer readings of your fuel-card and driver data.
This lets you see months in advance where additional payments loom, and take countermeasures: swap vehicles, redistribute mileage budgets or adjust contracts.
What does the cockpit show?
Summary cards:
- Number of vehicles and total expected additional payments (excess mileage)
- Total expected credits (under mileage)
- Contracts that end within the next 90 days
- Vehicles that need attention (incomplete contract, no projection, low data quality)
Table (sorted by € risk): license plate, vehicle, driver, contract end, days remaining, contract km, projected km, excess/under km, risk in €, confidence, open damages.
Filters: time horizon (3/6/12 months/all) and „nur Nachzahlungen" (only additional payments).
How is it calculated?
- The mileage projection comes from the hourly KFZ-Info calculation (article 14).
- The valuation uses your contract terms: excess/under-mileage rate (EUR/km), the free limit („Abweichende KM", i.e. mileage tolerance – within this range nothing is settled) and the cap for under-mileage credits.
- If a rate is missing in the contract, the row deliberately shows no amount, but instead the note „Vertrag unvollständig" (Contract incomplete) with a direct link to contract maintenance – better no figure than a wrong zero.
- Open damages (count and cost total) appear per vehicle as an additional return risk.
Confidence indicator
Each row carries a label Hoch / Mittel / Niedrig (High / Medium / Low). It rates how reliable the projection is – depending on how many odometer readings have come in over the last months and how recent the last reading is. For „Niedrig" (Low): first add odometer readings (e.g. trigger a driver response), then decide.
Updating the projection
Each row shows the timestamp of the last calculation. With the refresh icon, you trigger the recalculation for a single vehicle immediately (requires vertraege.edit).
Prerequisites
- Lease contracts maintained: term, contract mileage, excess/under-mileage rates, plus free limit and reimbursement cap where applicable (Fahrzeugakte → Verträge, i.e. vehicle record → Contracts).
- Regular odometer readings: via the Tankkarten-Import (fuel-card import) (article 08) and/or driver responses.
- KFZ-Info calculation active (default, article 14).
