Technical Area of the Vehicle Record: Registration Document, Consumption, and Mileage
Overview
The Technik (Technical data) tab (direct link: /applications/vehicles/addoredit/{id}?section=technik) bundles all of a vehicle's technical data into four sub-areas: Fahrzeugschein-Details (Registration document details), Ausstattung (Equipment), Kilometerstand & Verbrauch (Mileage & consumption), and Karten & Ausweise (Cards & permits).
Fahrzeugschein-Details (Registration document details)
At the top right, the "Fahrzeugschein-Assistent" (Registration document wizard) starts — it guides you through taking over the details from the vehicle registration document/title, including HSN/TSN (details: Article 43). The fields can also be maintained directly in the cards:
- Emissionen (Emissions): BlueTec, diesel particulate filter, catalytic converter, CO2 (g/km), AdBlue (Liter) (AdBlue, liters)
- Antrieb (Drive): hybrid drive as well as the choice "Keiner / Gasantrieb / Elektrisch / Plug-In-Hybrid" (None / Gas drive / Electric / Plug-in hybrid) — the basis for the drive-type classification (Article 14)
- Technische Daten (Technical data): radio call name, Fahrgestellnummer (Chassis number; editable here, display-only in Kauf and Datenblatt), first registration, fuel type, Feinstaubplakette (Emissions sticker), registered keeper per the registration document
- Fahrzeugdaten (Vehicle data): color, seats, Leistung (kW) (Power, kW), Hubraum (ccm) (Displacement, cc), top speed, permissible gross weight, Tankvolumen/Batterie (Liter/KWh) (Tank volume/battery, liters/kWh), driving license class
- Motor (Engine): engine type, engine manufacturer, engine number, cylinders, engine speeds, stationary and drive-by noise

Kilometerstand & Verbrauch (Mileage & consumption)
Here FMWeb shows the automatically calculated key figures — the values come from the hourly KFZ-Info-Berechnung (KFZ-Info calculation, Article 14) and are deliberately not editable:
- Verbrauch (Ø) (Consumption, avg.) overall, Verbrauch 3 Monate (Consumption 3 months), Verbrauch 4–6 Monate (Consumption 4–6 months), and Trend, each with an "as of" date
- Kilometerstand (Mileage) with reading date; depending on the odometer type, additionally Betriebsstunden (Operating hours) or Starts
If values are missing ("Keine Daten" — No data — or "–"), usually no fuel data is available yet — check the fuel-card import (Article 08). The same calculation also provides the further key figures such as cost/km and the mileage projection, which the Leasing-Rückgabe-Cockpit (Leasing return cockpit), among others, uses (Article 13).

- Tacho-Historie (Odometer history) (manual corrections and odometer changes)
- Kennzeichen-Historie (License plate history) (all license plate changes, Article 43)
- Takeover histories for Fahrer (Driver), Standort (Location), and Kostenstelle (Cost center)
Karten & Ausweise (Cards & permits)
- Tankkarten (Fuel cards): the vehicle's card register (card number, validity, etc.)
- Schlüssel & Mobilität (Keys & mobility): number of keys, key no., keys 1–3, transponder ID, ADAC membership number, and a notes field
Frequently asked questions
Why is the consumption empty even though fueling is happening? The key figures are derived from the imported receipts and mileage. Check whether the fuel card is assigned to the vehicle and the import is running (Article 08); the calculation itself is explained in Article 14.
Can I correct the mileage here? The current reading is maintained on the "Übersicht" (Overview) tab (field "Kilometerstand"); the technical view only displays it. Record historical corrections via the Tacho-Historie (odometer history).
