Driving Licence Check: Driving Entitlement, Examinations and Fleet-ID
Driving licence check on the "Übersicht" tab
You maintain the core data of the driving licence check directly on the overview page of the driver file:
- Führerschein Intervall (in Tagen) (Driving licence interval in days) – pre-filled with 180 for new drivers
- Führerschein zuletzt vorgelegt am (Driving licence last presented on) – date of the most recent check
- Nächste Führerschein Vorlage (Next driving licence presentation) – calculated automatically when you record the last presentation (presentation date + interval), but can be overridden manually
- Fleet-ID and NFC – identifiers for external check procedures (see below); both must be unique
- Letzte Führerscheinkontroll-E-Mail / Letzte UVV-E-Mail (Last driving licence check e-mail / Last UVV e-mail) – pure display fields: when FMWeb last reminded the driver
You set up the corresponding reminder e-mails in the e-mail settings (article 05). Drivers with a driver block, without an e-mail address, or flagged as Selbstfahrer (self-drivers/external drivers) are skipped in the process.
The "Fahrerlaubnis" tab
- Details: Driving entitlement since (field 4a), licence number (field 5), No. (field 12), "Europaweit gültig?" (Valid Europe-wide?)
- Fahrerlaubnisklassen (Licence categories): a table of all categories with "Vorhanden" (Held), "Gültig seit" (Valid since) and "Gültig bis" (Valid until) – editable directly in the row, exportable as CSV/PDF. If an assigned driver lacks the category required for their vehicle, the vehicle file warns with a banner.
The "Prüfungen" tab
Here you document all further certificates of proof. FMWeb calculates several expiry dates automatically on save:

Added to this are ID card/passport, the digital Fahrerkarte (driver card), excavator, crane and Gabelstaplerschein (forklift licence, incl. "Nächste Unterweisung am" / Next instruction on) as well as the Arbeitserlaubnis (work permit) with validity period.
Check history ("Prüfungen" dialog)
Via the "Prüfungen" action (in the header of the file or the button in the driving licence block) you open the history of all driving licence checks performed: Kontrolliert am (Checked on), Quelle (Source) and Benutzer (User), filterable and exportable. This lets you provide gapless proof of when the driving licence was last checked.
Fleet-ID: connecting external check service providers
If the driving licence check is carried out via an external service provider, the Fleet-ID (max. 20 characters) links the driver with the account at the provider. The automatic reconciliation (FleetSync background task) then applies reported checks:
- The driver is matched by their Fleet-ID
- "Zuletzt vorgelegt am" (Last presented on) is set to the check date (only if it is more recent than the existing one)
- "Nächste Führerschein Vorlage" (Next driving licence presentation) is recalculated from the interval
- An entry in the check history documents the check with its source
In the e-mail settings you can additionally specify that reminders are sent only when a Fleet-ID is entered (article 05).
Frequently asked questions
The next presentation date is not being calculated. Both "Führerschein zuletzt vorgelegt am" and an interval greater than 0 must be maintained.
A driver receives no driving licence reminder. Check the e-mail address, driver block, "Keine E-Mail"/Selbstfahrer as well as the skips in the e-mail monitoring (article 07).
