Processing Tyre Change Reports
Overview
After the seasonal tyre change reminder (article 05), drivers confirm the change they carried out via the driver portal. These reports collect in the Fahrermeldungen (Driver messages) inbox on the "Reifenwechsel Meldungen" tab and wait for your release – only then is the vehicle data updated.
What the report contains
- Neue Reifenart (New tyre type: Sommer / summer, Winter, Ganzjahr / all-season) – shown directly next to the tyre type currently stored in the system for comparison
- Gemeldeter KM-Stand (Reported mileage) and Wechseldatum (change date)
- "Reifen erneuert" (Tyres renewed – new tyres fitted) flag, or "Keine Erneuerung" (No renewal – seasonal change only)
- Report time and an optional Bemerkung (Remark) from the driver
Releasing
The "Reifenwechsel freigeben" (Release tyre change) dialog presents the reported data once more. Under "Freigabe-Informationen" (Release information) you confirm or correct KM-Stand and Wechseldatum. The note box summarises what the release triggers:
- The vehicle's mileage is updated to the released value.
- The tyre type on the vehicle is changed to the reported type (e.g. from summer to winter).
- The tyre change is documented with date and mileage – visible in the tyre area of the vehicle file.
- For "Reifen erneuert", a note about the tyre renewal is additionally saved.
The message is then considered done and disappears from the inbox.
Discarding
"Verwerfen" (Discard) rejects the message (optionally with a reason for rejection). Neither the tyre type nor the mileage is changed; if in doubt, the driver receives another reminder as long as the change is not documented in the system.
Frequently asked questions
The reported tyre type does not match the vehicle. Discard the message and maintain the tyre area of the vehicle file manually (article 20) – or ask the driver for a corrected report.
Why does the driver keep receiving tyre change reminders? Presumably the message has not yet been released – what matters for the reminder is the change data documented on the vehicle, and this arises only with the release.
Who may release? Any user with the processing.inbox permission (article 18).
