Keeping an Eye on Expiring Contracts
Overview
The Verträge auslaufend (Expiring contracts) page (/applications/vertraege/expiry) shows all insurance policies and leasing contracts that end within a selectable period – so that notice periods, follow-up contracts and vehicle returns do not catch you by surprise.
The page is not linked in the navigation menu; open it directly via the URL (tip: create a bookmark).
The day horizon
At the top you choose "Auslaufend innerhalb von:" (Expiring within:) – the options are 7, 14, 30, 60 or 90 days. FMWeb takes the default from your email settings (the "auslaufende Leasingverträge" / expiring leasing contracts threshold, see article 06); if nothing is maintained there, the default of 30 days applies. Changing the value reloads the lists immediately; Aktualisieren (Refresh) reloads them manually.
Two tabs: Versicherung and Leasing
Versicherung auslaufend (Insurance expiring): licence plate, Ablaufdatum (Expiry date), Tage übrig (Days left) and insurer.
Leasing auslaufend (Leasing expiring): licence plate, Ablaufdatum (Expiry date), Tage übrig (Days left), contract number and lessor.
Both tables offer column filters, sorting and paging (default 20 rows). If nothing expires in the selected period, the respective tab shows a corresponding notice.
Via the open icon in the row you jump directly into the vehicle file – for insurance into the Versicherung area, for leasing into the Verträge (Contracts) area (article 72).
Recommended workflow
- Check the page weekly with the 90-day horizon – this leaves time to cancel or extend.
- For expiring leasing contracts, additionally open the Rückgabe-Cockpit (Return cockpit) (article 13): for the same vehicles, it evaluates the excess/reduced-mileage risk in euros and shows open damage claims as a return risk.
- In addition, activate the automatic leasing notifications (article 06) – then FMWeb reminds you by email without anyone having to open the page.
Frequently asked questions
Why does a contract not appear? Either its end is outside the selected horizon, or no contract end is maintained on the vehicle. Check the data in the vehicle file.
Can I set a different default horizon? Yes – via the threshold for expiring leasing contracts in the email settings; the page uses it as the default.
Is there a pure insurance view with a reminder function? Yes, the Versicherungsvorlauf (Insurance lead time) (article 71).
