Maintaining Contracts on the Vehicle
Overview
Leasing, rental, telematics and other contracts are maintained in FMWeb directly on the vehicle: Vehicle file → Verträge (Contracts) section. All client-wide contract pages (leasing overview, expiring contracts, return cockpit) read this data – so the fields maintained here determine the quality of all reports and forecasts.
Opening the section
- Via the vehicle list: Stammdaten → Fahrzeuge (Master data → Vehicles) → edit vehicle → Verträge (Contracts) tab.
- Via deep link:
/applications/vehicles/addoredit/{FahrzeugId}?section=vertraege– this link is also used by the contract overviews (article 68) and the return cockpit for jumping in. The section is only visible if you holdvertraege.view.
The table shows per contract: Vertragstyp (Contract type) (with icon), Geber (Provider / contract partner), Vertragsnummer (Contract number), Vertragsbeginn (Contract start), Vertragsende (Contract end) and Betrag (brutto) (Amount, gross). Using Hinzufügen (Add), the pencil icon and the trash-can icon, you create, change or delete contracts (deletion with a confirmation prompt).
The contract dialog
Always available: contract type (e.g. Finanzierungsleasing/finance lease, Technisches Leasing/technical lease, Laufleistungsleasing/mileage lease, Mietvertrag/rental contract, Eigentum/Kredit (ownership/loan), Telematikvertrag/telematics contract, Mobilfunkvertrag/mobile contract, Versicherungsvertrag/insurance contract), Gesellschaft (company / contract partner), contract number, contract start/end, Laufzeit (Monate) (Term in months), amount and notes. If the contract end is left empty, FMWeb calculates it on saving from start + term.
Depending on the contract type, the dialog reveals further fields:
- Kilometer-Block (Kilometre block) (finance lease, technical lease): total mileage in km, km/year, Abweichende KM (Deviating km / free allowance), Mehr KM (Extra km) and Weniger KM (Fewer km) (rates in EUR/km), Begrenzte Rückvergütung? (Limited refund?) with a maximum refund mileage.
- Vertragsdaten-Block (Contract-data block) (finance lease, technical lease): customer number, discount, base price, down payment, desired equipment, delivery and registration costs, list/total price, residual value, delivery and return date, leasing factor. For finance leases additionally the Vertragsform (Contract form) (kilometre or residual-value contract; if nothing is selected, kilometre applies).
- Kündigung (Termination) (telematics/mobile contract): Spätestens kündigen bis (Terminate no later than) and Kündigungsfrist (Monate) (Notice period in months).
These fields feed the forecasts
The Leasing-Rückgabe-Cockpit (Leasing Return Cockpit) (article 13) and the leasing notifications (article 06) calculate using:
- Vertragsbeginn und Vertragsende (contract start and end) – the term basis and remaining days,
- km-Gesamtlaufleistung (total mileage in km) (or km/year) – the contract kilometres,
- Mehr KM / Weniger KM (Extra km / Fewer km) – the valuation rates in EUR/km; if these are missing, the cockpit reports "Vertrag unvollständig" (Contract incomplete) instead of an amount,
- Abweichende KM (Deviating km) – the free allowance within which no settlement takes place,
- Begrenzte Rückvergütung (Limited refund) – the upper limit for under-mileage credits.
Check these five points every time you create a contract – one minute of maintenance saves you incorrect return forecasts.
Frequently asked questions
What leasing data does the vehicle overview tab show? If the vehicle is marked as a leasing vehicle, a card summarises the finance-lease contract (provider, start/end, total) including a term progress bar; from 80% of the term onwards a warning appears.
Why can I only view, not edit? Viewing requires vertraege.view; to edit you additionally need edit rights on the vehicle, and the vehicle must not be locked for editing.
