Fahrtenbuch (Logbook) in the Driver Portal: Adding Mileage to Reservations
Overview
Via the Fahrtenbuch (Logbook) menu item (/applications/webres/logbook), drivers document the kilometres actually driven for their reservations. The menu item only appears if the fleet manager has enabled it in the WebRes settings (the "Navigationsmenü" / navigation-menu tab) - if it is missing from your view, it has been switched off for your tenant (Article 95).
The trip list
The table shows your own reservations for the configured period (current plus retrospective display according to the tenant setting) with the columns:
- Kennzeichen (licence plate) of the reserved vehicle
- Start and Ende (End) of the reservation
- Betreff (Subject) and Fahrtziel (Destination)
- KM Start and KM Ende (End mileage) - the only editable fields
- Aktuelle Laufleistung (Current mileage) of the vehicle (for orientation)
Using the column selector in the toolbar you show or hide columns as needed; sorting and paging are also available.
Entering mileage
- Select the desired trip and click Bearbeiten (Edit) in the toolbar.
- Enter KM Start and KM Ende (End mileage) - both fields are mandatory and must be numbers.
- Apply the values with Aktualisieren (Update) (or discard them with Abbrechen / Cancel).
FMWeb checks plausibility: if the end mileage is not greater than the start mileage, the message "Der KM-Stand am Ende muss größer sein als der KM-Stand am Anfang." (The end mileage must be greater than the start mileage.) appears and the change is not saved.
After a successful save, a message confirms that the values have been applied. Only your own trips can be edited.
Distinction from vehicle feedback
The Fahrtenbuch documents kilometres per reservation. The vehicle's current total mileage, by contrast, is reported via Fahrer Rückmeldung → KM-Stand Rückmeldung (Driver Feedback → Mileage Report) - that report goes through back-office approval and updates the vehicle record (Article 102).
Frequently asked questions
I can't see the "Fahrtenbuch" (Logbook) menu item. The menu item can be enabled per tenant. Ask your fleet manager to enable the "Zeige das Fahrtenbuch?" (Show the logbook?) option in the WebRes settings.
An older trip is missing from the list. The list only shows reservations within the configured look-back period ("Wie lange sollen Reservierungen aus der Vergangenheit angezeigt werden?" / How long should past reservations be displayed?).
Other fields of the trip cannot be changed. This is intentional: in the Fahrtenbuch, only KM Start and KM Ende are editable. WebRes managers change appointment data via the dashboard (Article 97).
