Tyre Master Data: Maintaining Tyre Types, Tyre Sets and Tyre Profiles

Published:
Updated:

Module: Reifen-Stammdaten (Tyre Master Data)

Audience: Fleet managers, workshop/dispatch

Required permission: tyres.view (view), tyres.edit (create, change, delete)

Overview

The Reifen-Stammdaten (Tyre Master Data) page (/applications/tyreMasterData/overview) bundles fleet-wide tyre management into three tabs: Reifentypen (Tyre Types), Reifenprofile (Tyre Profiles) and Reifensätze (Tyre Sets). All tables offer filtering, sorting and paging; edit dialogs open as a side panel. Without tyres.edit, the add and delete buttons are hidden.

The "Reifentypen" (Tyre Types) tab

The catalogue of tyre types (e.g. "Summer tyre 205/55 R16", "Winter tyre", manufacturer designations) that the other tyre functions draw on.

  • Add: the "Reifentyp hinzufügen" (Add tyre type) button → enter a name (mandatory) → Save
  • Edit / Delete: via the Actions column; deletion asks for confirmation as a safeguard ("Reifentyp ‚…' wirklich löschen?" / Really delete tyre type "…"?)

The "Reifenprofile" (Tyre Profiles) tab

Here you document tread-depth measurements per vehicle - e.g. at each seasonal change or workshop visit:

FieldContent
Fahrzeug (Vehicle)Selection by licence plate
Datum / Km-Stand (Date / Mileage)Time and mileage of the measurement
P VL / P VR / P HL / P HRTread depth in mm per wheel position (front/rear, left/right)
Hinweis (Note)Free text, e.g. "more worn on the inside"
Neubereifung (New tyres)A switch when the measurement belongs to a set of new tyres

Using the vehicle drop-down and "Filtern" (Filter) you narrow the list to a single vehicle; the most recent 500 measurements are shown. This lets you recognize early which vehicles are approaching the minimum tread depth and will need new tyres before the next season.

The "Reifensätze" (Tyre Sets) tab

Management of the stored wheel sets: one vehicle per entry (selected by licence plate) and a name (e.g. "Winter wheels, alloy 16″, storage row 3"). Creating, editing and deleting work as with the tyre types - including the safety prompt on deletion.

The details of a specific vehicle's summer/winter/spare tyres (costs, DOT number, storage location) are, by contrast, maintained directly in the vehicle record (Article 109).

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between tyre profiles and the minimum tread depth? The Reifenprofile (tyre profiles) are measured actual values per date and wheel position. The minimum tread depth is the threshold per vehicle and season that you store in the vehicle's tyre data (Article 109).

Why don't I see any add buttons? You lack the tyres.edit permission - contact your administrator (Article 18).
