Managing Fuels
Overview
The Treibstoffe (Fuels) catalog (group Fahrzeug / Vehicle under /applications/generalMasterData/overview) contains the fuel types that you assign to your vehicles in the vehicle record ("Kraftstoff" / Fuel field). The fuel is more than a label: It feeds into the automatic drive-type classification.
Creating and editing a fuel
- Select Treibstoffe (Fuels) on the left and click "Treibstoff hinzufügen" (Add fuel).
- In the side dialog, enter the Bezeichnung (Label; mandatory field).
- Speichern (Save). Duplicate labels are rejected.
The table shows the Anzahl Fahrzeuge (Number of Vehicles) per fuel; expanding a row lists the assigned vehicles with licence plate, brand and model.
Interplay with the drive type
Vehicles without a set drive type are classified automatically by the hourly KFZ-Info calculation (Article 14). Among other things, the name of the assigned fuel is evaluated. The system's drive-type catalog knows, among others:

Recommendation: In the fuel catalog, use unambiguous, common labels ("Diesel", "Benzin" / Petrol, "Elektro" / Electric ...). The classification cannot map fantasy names or mixed forms - such vehicles then remain without an automatic drive type and must be maintained manually.
For electric and hybrid vehicles, the correct drive type is important because the kWh validation rules of the fuel import and the electric reports depend on it (Article 11).

Fuel, drive type – what is the difference? The Treibstoff (Fuel) is your freely maintainable catalog entry on the vehicle. The Antriebsart (Drive Type) is the system-side classification (with a fixed unit of litres/KG/kWh) that controls reports and validation rules. The fuel name helps the system determine the drive type automatically.
Can I delete a fuel that is still in use? First check the "Anzahl Fahrzeuge" (Number of Vehicles) column. Reassign affected vehicles before deleting.
