Licences and Feature Scope: What Does Each Licence Unlock?
Overview
Under Systemadministration → Lizenzen (System Administration → Licences) (/applications/settings/licenses) you see all registered licences of your installation: licence name, quantity, valid from/to and the status (Active, Expiring soon - within the next 30 days -, Expired, Inactive). Below, two cards summarize the overall situation (active/expired/soon-to-expire licences).
The edition: Business, Enterprise, Ultimate
The sum of your base/workstation licences ("BasisLizenz" + "Arbeitsplatz") determines the edition, which is shown as a chip in the header bar:

Important: FMWeb's functional modules (dashboard, vehicles, reports, etc.) require the Enterprise edition. With a Business edition, only Systemadministration (System Administration) and Profil (Profile) are usable; all other pages show the message "Enterprise Lizenz erforderlich" (Enterprise licence required) along with your current licence setup, the upgrade price and the "Angebot anfordern" (Request a quote) button.
Additional licences: which module does each unlock?

Penalty notices and the Enterprise reports are tied to the Enterprise edition. If an additional licence is missing, the area appears as a locked "Enterprise Feature" with blurred content and an info button - or is hidden entirely. An expired licence counts the same as a missing one.
Renewing and importing licences
- Aktualisieren (Refresh): reloads the display (clears the cache).
- Lizenzen erneuern (Renew licences): starts the online renewal at the licence server. Changes are shown by the "Lizenzänderungen" (Licence changes) dialog (Added/Changed/Removed per licence, with the old/new quantity and validity).
- Registrierungsdatei herunterladen (Download registration file): generates
RegisterData.jsonfor offline registration - send this file to support if needed. - Lizenzdatei hochladen (Upload licence file): imports a licence file (
*.json) supplied by support; the overview is then updated automatically.
Frequently asked questions
I don't see a module - is it the licence or the permission? Locked/blurred content with the note "Enterprise Feature" = licence. A missing menu item despite an existing licence = a missing .view permission. You'll find the complete checklist in Article 120.
What happens when a licence expires? The status changes to "Expired", and the associated functions are locked. Data already recorded is retained.
