Downloading Updates and Viewing the Software Bill of Materials (SBOM)
The Updates page
Under Systemadministration → Updates (System Administration → Updates) (/applications/settings/updates) you download program versions. The page first checks three prerequisites against your customer number; if one fails, a corresponding message appears:

If all checks pass, you see two tabs:
- Flottenmanager (Fleet Manager) – updates for the classic Windows Fleet Manager (download as
.exe) - FmWeb – updates for the web application (download as
.zip)
For each, the base installation and the newest version (including its associated pre-releases) are shown with Name, Beschreibung (Description) and Version. The download starts via the arrow icon in the "Aktionen" (Actions) column; every download is logged against your customer number.
Note: The page only provides the download. You (or your IT team) carry out the installation itself according to the update instructions supplied – if you have questions, support can help (Article 17).
The SBOM page (Software Bill of Materials)
Under Systemadministration → SBOM (System Administration → SBOM) (/applications/settings/sbom) you find the software bill of materials for the running FMWeb instance: a snapshot of all .NET components loaded at application startup. Security officers use it to reconcile the package versions in use against known vulnerabilities or compromised versions.
- Header area: Erfassungszeitpunkt (capture time, in UTC) and the number of components.
- The "Framework-Assemblies ausblenden" (Hide framework assemblies) toggle (active by default) hides .NET framework components so that only application and third-party packages remain.
- Table with Name, Version, Paket-Version (Package version), Datei-Version (File version), Hersteller (Manufacturer) and Pfad (Path); use the search field to filter by name, version or manufacturer.
Export
- CSV herunterladen (Download CSV) – semicolon-separated, ready to use directly in Excel.
- JSON (CycloneDX) – export in the standard CycloneDX 1.5 format (
sbom-<Datum>.cdx.json) for SBOM audit tools.
Each export contains the currently filtered view (so with framework assemblies hidden, only the application packages).
Frequently asked questions
How often does the SBOM change? Only with an application update – the list is a snapshot from application startup. After installing an update, reload the page and export the current state.
Why can't I see the Updates/SBOM menu items? You are missing the system.updates or system.sbom permission (Article 18).
